About Hearts Content Farm

Our 57-acre certified organic farm is in a beautiful setting, right on the Trans-Canada rail trail running from Brantford to Dundas. We are catering to a growing eco-agri-tourism business with guided medicinal and edible plant walks, and farm stays.

Our farmhouse is off grid and we are trying to reduce carbon emissions with our electric tractor.

As part of the farm team you will be involved in all aspects of agri-tourism on the farm throughout the growing season, including organic seed selection, planning plant walks (for organically cultivated crops and wild-craft walks), working with the electric tractor, preparation of plant beds, plant identification, guiding plant walks, harvesting and market table preparation for market stand on the farm, organic weed and pest control and making value added products including preparing salves, teas and tinctures.

We have many carpentry projects on the go this season. You will be assisting with building an on-farm vegetable stand, constructing an on-trail information kiosk and bike-repair stand, constructing an outdoor shower, and repairing outhouses and finishing our indoor farm-stay apartments.
